Listen To Theo's New Christmas Songs
The Christmas tracks that Theo blogged about are here! They won't be hitting radio airwaves until Monday, but here's a taste of what to expect:
Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)
Christmas Dream
The tracks will be available at iTunes starting November 25.
The tour! (by Theo)
So I'm just chilling on the couch at the Sony soundstage while Drew and Mitch are rehearsing their sets for the tour. They sound freaking fantastic! I'm so excited to hit the road - and we are leaving on Friday!
I'm so excited for opening night in Fredericton. I have never been to New Brunswick, and to the East Coast only once, so it'll be nice to see more of the country!
Everyone's sets are so different too! I think it's going to be a really special show - something for everyone, that's for sure!
Writing has been going extremely well. I've been playing a lot with some retro motown feels, which is a blast... Something really unique with a strong vibe!
Also a couple of slower serious ballads (I loooove ballads haha) which I am very excited for as well!
I also just got confirmation that I'm releasing two tracks to iTunes and radio for the Christmas season and one of them is an original called "Christmas Dream" that I wrote with Luke McMaster, Simon Wilcox, and Greg Johnston. The song just came out of nowhere, but it's something we are all really proud of. Annnnd it's a Christmas song - best Holiday season ever :)
The other tune is a cover of "Baby, Please Come Home" that we are giving more of a funk vibe - also gonna be wild!
I'm so lucky eh?! So much thanks to all of you!
I'm gonna be blogging a lot and putting up some behind the scenes videos from the tour, so keep checking back if you want the inside scoop or want to know what bus life is like, or what the tour merchandise is looking like, so many exciting things to come!!
Sooner than Later,
Love!
ttt
...and now, some words from Theo
Hey everyone-
I'm right in the middle of a bunch of writing workshops for the album. They are going so well! It is such a cool feeling to hear things coming together - I'm already so excited for the work that we've done so far.
I am so lucky to work with these writers - they are all so different, but so equally unique and clever. It has been such a process, but one that I am beginning to thrive on. Thanks to all of you for helping me live this life. Sometimes I still wake up and wonder exactly whose life this is... I am truly blessed.
Playing the Warchild concert, and then just recently Me to We- Free The Children (with Sarah Mclachlan!!) was an incredible experience and it again opened my eyes to the power of music; it has this innate ability to draw people together. I can't even imagine a world without music... It seems to be the only constant thing in my life sometimes-
Ah! Annnnnd the tour is coming up! So wild! I'm excited for bus life! I'm probably kind of a nerd but living life on the road is something I've always thought would be so fun to do. Being able to travel our amazing country with Mitch and Drew, amazing musicians, really feels like the ultimate way to end the greatest year of my life.
Love you all-
Dream hard today-
Theo

Theo writes in...
Just this past weekend I performed my first set post Idol. It was unbelievable!
I performed at the D250 "Apathy Is Boring" event in Halifax and it was pretty wild. Huge enthusiastic crowd - I just felt so lucky to be a part of it.
Also this week I went to my first co-write and it was a great experience. I am used to writing a song by myself, so to throw ideas around with other amazingly talented people was such a welcomed process!
I think we came up with what could be the next single, and I'm really excited for it!
This weekend I will be performing at the Police Games with the top 10 from Idol - another great opportunity to just hang out with these great people! Then Mitch, Drew, and I are so lucky to be part of a War Child fundraiser in Simcoe.
I just feel so lucky to be a part of all these events, something I never would have had 6 months ago.
Thanks so much to everyone who has made this possible. I've been working hard.

Theo Takes Time Out To Support Charity Causes
A month after his big win, Canadian Idol winner Theo Tams is already involved in helping out Canadian charities. On Saturday, October 4 he will perform with the Canadian Idol Top 10 at the 126th annual Police Games at the Rogers Centre in Toronto in support of the Toronto Police Widow and Orphan Fund.

Both War Child and Free The Children are long running charity organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children all over the world.

Hey Everyone,
I write this to you from a small cafe in downtown Montreal. My best friend Melissa is celebrating her birthday so we are having a blast in the city!
I can't believe it has only been one week since finale, it has been great having a little bit of downtime. I've been writing a lot, mostly journals and poetry, but some tunes as well, maybe you'll have a chance to hear them on the tour.
Just wanted to let you all know that I've been doing great and I can't wait to get on the road and into the studio. I have such a great team working with me so I have really high hopes for the album!
Once again, huge thank yous to each and every one of you for your suppport and your encouragement. It has been truly overwhelming and wonderful. I love you all. All the best.

Love Harder,
T.
